Ilocano Dinner by Mom and Dad

My parents came down to Florida to visit me and to watch “Ana Maria” which I directed. It was indeed a pleasure and a relief to see them! During one of the zarzuela rehearsals at home, they prepared a complete Ilocano dinner for us: inabraw, igado, and pinakbet, among others. We also had ube cake which my sister, Marie, baked and sent all the way from Illinois.

Here are photos of the food we had that evening. There is nothing like home cooking the way you knew it growing up!
